My name is Avery Morgan Lawley! I have grown up in Montevallo, Alabama! I graduated from The University of Montevallo, getting a Communication degree! (I talk so much, I figured I would learn how to control it!!!) I LOVE to meet new faces and build connections with others!

Photography story!
As a child, I remember sitting in my grandmother's lap and looking through old photo albums of my mother. It fascinated me as a young child that something so simple could capture a moment in time and freeze it as a memory. & so my photography obsession began!!!!
My first camera was a Christmas gift when I was 14! I was SO excited; I would take pictures of anything that would sit still (horses, food, cows, my sisters... pretty much anything that would let me!) When I was 15, I was given photography lessons for my birthday (a simple month-long course to show me how to work my camera/camera settings) from a couple who quickly turned into the people I wanted to be when I grew up. At 16 & 17, I started to take photos. I realized early on that I loved meeting new clients and building friendships. When I turned 18, I acquired a business license, then Avery Morgan Photography was born!!!!!!!!!!
Since starting this business, I have grown to absolutely love what I do and everything that comes with photography. I say this SO much, and I will always keep saying it... I LOVE my job, and I am so incredibly blessed to be able to do what I do.
Fun things about me!!!!
I was born and raised in Montevallo, Alabama, and I’ve stayed right here in the cutest little house on the creek! I’m a summertime girl through and through — give me the beach or the lake, sunshine, a good romance book, and I’ll be content for daaaays!!!!!
My music taste is all over the place, but old country and ’80s rap are at the top of the list (I <3 Eazy-E)! Jesus is my number one — my relationship with Him shapes the way I see people, love people, and run this business with purpose and a whole lot of gratitude!!!!!!!!
My favorite smell is a worn leather horse saddle (weird, I know). My last meal would absolutely be a big, greasy cheeseburger, fries, and a side of BBQ sauce.
I start every morning (literally every. single. morning. this is a must) with a Celsius or a Bloom! I use waaayyy too many exclamation points, but they just make life more fun!!! I grew up with three sisters, so I’m a biggg girls’ girl!!!!! I have the sweetest goldendoodle in the world named Cider, and I’m dating a guy with the same name as me (Avery & Avery!!). You can find me at my grandparents’ house every Sunday night for family supper.
My favorite movie is either Sweet Home Alabama or The Sandlot — it just depends on the mood. The Office is my comfort show, my favorite color is yellow!!! I love to travel — Italy takes the cake, with Japan a close second — and a glass of white wine will always be a yes from me!
More than anything, I love people & taking photos! I love stories, connection, laughter, and the in-between moments that don’t seem like much at the time but end up meaning everything.
